It reads more like an extended advertisement for the author's private clinic; mentions the name of the clinic (and the author) every page or two. Pseudo-science blended with totally obvious observations about healthy living. If there is any science to it, it is well-disguised. Utter pabulum. I stopped listening three quarters of the way through it, when he started listing his favorite recipes.

I had read about this book for a long time and could hardly wait to get my hands on it. I loved it and have now passed it around to everyone in my family. Dr. Amen makes so much sense and gives you the tools to empower yourself.

In this day and finacial availibility some things are NOT possible. Exercise is limited to physical conditions for one. Now this book says not any of the good sweet baking things the kids used to run home for after school. Everyone is not able to put forth the money for all the 'fresh' vegetables as noted in the book.

This is the cause for most of the non-functioning bodies in this world. How about my Green tea. Whoops, caffene. I'm in my 70's so I find some things in the book hard to do. This may all put you in a down mood, but it is life not fantasy. I love to cook and bake.

An era has passed when we all grew up to be 'old'. Time for all the younger generation to grow up in a world of pollution and contamination of air, water and ground.

Enjoy the book, I did. Getting the right foods is another.

With this book nows the time to try to correct your brain. I'm a fairly intelligent, artistic person.

I read ALOT, work all kinds of puzzles, paint, draw, sew and etc. Follow the advice to the BEST OF YOUR ABILITY, nothing will be perfect, so don't think it will be.

I learned a lot and you will too.

This book is highly informative and helpful. Dr. Amen knows the brain in a very complete way, and instructs us how to protect, heal and sustain our brains. Since the brain is our main organ of thought and bodily control, this book ends up teaching us much about the human as a whole.

An excellent book on the benefits of keeping ones brain sound and healthy. I quite ennjoyed learning about the different parts of the brain, the supplements that can help enhance performance in each of its areas and the pointers on how to make my brain better. Great read and very educational. Highly recommended.
